Pugs are strange little creatures
They are natural clowns, and dignified at the same time. They are absolutely unhinged, yet can also display calm composure. They never take themselves too seriously. They are big dogs in small bodies.
These are all elements that we try to integrate into our business, our beer, and our community. To us, that means trying as many new recipes as possible, using the best ingredients, and making sure that everyone who comes here has a welcoming and engaging experience.
Who we are
Co-founder and brewer Sam Wilson first started brewing in the closet of his college apartment in Burlington, VT. Co-founder and business partner Jason Allen first started drinking beer in his college apartment in NY. Fast forward 10 years, literally hundreds of trips to Home Depot, a few explosions and splinters later, and Black Pug Brewing opened in October 2018.
