Rain or Shine, Swine & Stein Brewfest Offers 50+ Varieties of Craft Beverages for All Day Sampling

We’ve seen more than our fair share of rain this summer, and tropical storm Phillipe wanted to make sure that trend continued for the 2023 Swine & Stein Brewfest event in Gardiner this Saturday, October 7.
As a rain or shine event which takes months of planning and preparation, Swine & Stein will carry on as planned. Luckily we’ve all had months of adapting (can we say pivoting!?) this year so that we know how to be prepared.
Mother Nature may be throwing us a curveball, but there will be ample ways to stay out of the rain and enjoy the beer festival in the streets of downtown Gardiner. All of the 20 breweries, cideries, distilleries, meaderies, and fermenteries will be serving under their own tent, so you can get your samples and stay dry. Event organizers will also have extra tents set up throughout the beer garden and at the main gate.
With the event happening in the street, popping in to explore the many restaurants and shops is easy. Coming and going from the beer garden event area is easy after checking in at the main gate. Just make sure your tasting glass is empty and your event wristbands are visible while passing through the re-entry gates.
Depending on the timing and amount of precipitation the on-stage entertainment schedule may change, depending on the conditions.
It will no doubt be a brewfest to remember. With the precipitation possibly keeping the event crowds smaller, there will be more opportunities to sample the 50+ varities of craft beverages available from our Maine vendors.
Food trucks and local restaurants, along with local crafters will also be lined up on the street (yes, with their own tents and awnings of course!)
New this year – designated driver ticket holders will be able to sample the non-alcoholic beverage jun from Urban Farm Fermentory, available in the designated driver tent.
Come prepared for the weather, with waterproof jackets and shoes (do sandals count? – we’ll leave that up to you), and keep your umbrellas handy. Yes, you might get a little wet, but you’re not going to melt. And you’re going to have a great time!
See you at Swine & Stein – rain or shine!
